In June 2011 I started shooting concerts for Študentarija –
Infoscena, and first gig I shot was Misfits in Cvetličarna. I was so scared and
nervous that evening… I just bought new lens and was trying it out that night.
Needles to say, it went ok, so I continued shooting for them for two years... I
was so happy, doing what I love… but more and more photographers started
shooting for the same media and getting acreditation was getting harder and
harder… so I stopped shooting for some time and was waiting for fall to start
new concert season.
But then my friend Nina contacted me, saying they need
another photographer in some other media – Rockline … i was beyond happy! Still
didn't believe it though, until few days ago… and on Thursday I shot my first gig for them.
History repeats itself – it was punk concert and it was in
the same venue I shot my first gig 2 years ago…and I was even more nervous this
time I believe…
So how was it? It was loud, crowded and sweaty! Just how
punk concert is supposed to be.
Oh the bands?! You want to know about the bands…
Golliwog started the show and this time was the second
time i saw them live… and i was sober this time so i can tell you they are
good, and you can believe me ;) – this is how they decsribe themselves: Hello, we're Golliwog. Vintage '98. We're 5th
dimensional aliens from constellation of Lyra and we come in peace. We sing and
dance. We play some instruments - barely. We like Earth and all her creatures
and we're not racist.

Barb wire dolls – holy
shit! I was blown away by their performance…if i wouldn't be there to take
photos i would just stand in first row mesmerised. Isis Queen is really THE Queen!
Nofx – big stars of the
night… sadly not for me… but the crowd went mad when they hit the stage… 30
seconds of seeing them on stage and whaaaam...i was already soaked from all the
beer that was flying through the air. Thank »somebody« my gear survived.
I even got some souvenirs – some nice little briuses and painfull ribs – no photo pit this time, so I was shooting in the first row, thanks to Sandi I didn't get seriously hurt I guess… first song ended and I ran away fast on the balcony, hoping i would get some air there… so wrong i was! It was even more hot up there, but there were also nice guys who let me in the first rows to take some photos…
Good thing JZA Crew filmed whole NOFX gig.
For me the night ended after 3 or 4 Nofx songs – i was working next day, so i just went home. I thought i would need to walk few kilometers but Tina was there for me as always, so she slipped out of her pajama and drove me home, even though I smelled like a can of beer and the sweat was still dripping from my hair.
